Megn Mecom-Cantu and Laura Rowland Named Employees of The Month

Lucerne Valley Elementary School teacher Megn Mecom-Cantu and Middle High School Media Center Supervisor/Social Media Manager Laura Rowland were named Employees of the Month at the Thursday, May 9th meeting of the Lucerne Valley USD’s Board of Trustees.
 
Superintendent Peter Livingston presented the awards and quoted the nomination letters, which were made by each school’s administrators.
 
Certificated- Megn Mecom-Cantu 
“This month the elementary school would like to recognize Megn Mecom-Cantu, or ‘Mrs. MC,’ as our Certificated employee of the month,” according to the LVES administrators. “This year, Megn has created a vibrant and engaging learning environment for her students ensuring that her students receive the best possible education. She is very creative in her planning process as she constantly seeks new ways to keep her students engaged and excited about learning. 

“Megn has a unique ability to connect with her students on a personal level. She takes the time to understand each child's unique needs and interests, creating a supportive atmosphere where every student feels valued. Her high-energy approach ensures that no two days in her classroom are ever the same, keeping her students on their toes and eager to participate. 
“Her dedication and commitment to her students make her truly deserving of the Employee of the Month. Congratulations, Megn, and thank you for all that you do!”

“Congratulations to Laura Rowland our outstanding Employee of the Month!” Mr. Livingston said. “Laura does an exceptional job running our media center, overseeing the school’s social media accounts and provides invaluable support to teachers and students with all their textbook needs. She is always ready to lend a hand, while effortlessly taking on new duties with a smile. Her pleasant demeanor and dedication make her an integral part of our middle high school team. We are grateful for her commitment and hard work!”
