Dr. Valenzuela Donates $15,000 to Lucerne Valley USD

The Lucerne Valley Unified School District’s governing board on Thursday recognized a $15,000 donation from Dr. Guillermo Valenzuela, a Ob-Gyn physician at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton. The money will be used by the Lucerne Valley Unified School District to purchase computer and technology equipment for district students.

The monetary donation, which was warmly accepted by district officials, was made after Third District Supervisor Dawn Rowe learned that Dr. Valenzuela was looking to make a donation through his non-profit to a school would especially appreciate financial assistance for technology. She immediately thought of the Lucerne Valley USD and passed along the information.

“For a little district like us it makes a huge difference,” LVUSD Superintendent Peter Livingston said.
