Mountain View HS Graduates Five

With family and friends looking on in support, Five High School students were graduated during the Mountain View High School Spring Graduation Ceremony on Friday, May 19, 2023.
 
Receiving diplomas were Aiden Fearn, Raul Ferrer, Allan McCoy, Riley Rodriguez, and Christopher Tellez Duch. 
 
Graduate Allan McCoy credited several special people for helping him get to the finish line. They include district staff member Vici Miller, his parents — “my rock, my biggest supporters — Ms. Haecker, and Ms. Kessler.
 
Graduate Raul Ferrer thanked the people for helping him to believe in himself. He thanked his family. He acknowledge that through his journey he learned from his mistakes as life has its ups and downs.
 
Graduate Aiden Fearn recognized his family for giving “amazing support” during his transition to Mountain View. A member of the Mustang Basketball Team, Aiden earned a basketball scholarship at Northridge University in Wisconsin.
 
Graduate Christopher Duch who is setting his goals on a job said his parents “are amazing.” He thanked them and others for supporting him through his journey to get his diploma.
 
Graduate Riley Rodriguez said that moving over to Mountain View was one of his best decisions. Riley is graduating a year early and plans on attending UC San Diego. He played baseball and football for the Mustangs.
 
Mountain View teacher Ms. Victoria Kessler presided over the festivities and presented the class. Superintendent Peter Livingston accepted the class and presented the diplomas. Other district staff members who deserved thanks are Principal/Assistant Superintendent of Business Services Olga Fisher, Alt. Ed. Assistant Lori Herriman, Academic Counselor Kevin Barda, Academic Counselor Ashlee Ackerman, LVMHS Principal Nate Lambdin, Principal LVMHS Jason Story, Student Education Services Coordinator Vici Miller and Teacher on Assignment/Coordinator Jessica Haecker.
 
Sgt. Herriman of the Lucerne Valley High School Color Guard — under the direction of Sgt. Jacob Klinger — led the “Pledge of Allegiance.” The Color Guard is having a busy and meaningful awards and graduation season by performing color guard duties at several events.
