In the 2024-25 school year, the Lucerne Valley Unified School District was awarded $191,082 in Proposition 28 Arts & Music funding. The district used these funds to directly support arts and music education for its 1,160 students across four school sites.
91.6% of the total allocation was dedicated to funding instruction, while the remaining 8.4% provided essential art and music supplies for students.
The funding supported a variety of new and existing programs, including:
• Two high school photography classes
• A middle school music class
• A middle school art class
• A full-time elementary art teacher
Additionally, the funds helped produce a highly successful elementary school production of “Aladdin Jr.”
These investments provided students with hands-on skills in visual arts and digital media, offered performance-based learning, and fostered creativity and artistic expression throughout the district.
Teacher John Worsham's photography class has been popular for years.
Ceramics and art has seen increased investments by the school district.
