Lucerne Valley Community, MCCEF Give a Total of $112,225 in Senior Scholarships

Once again the Lucerne Valley community gladly opened their pocketbooks to give graduating Lucerne Valley High School seniors a hearty sendoff. Local individuals, businesses, and organizations gave a total of $58,225 through the community scholarship fund while perennial top giver the Mitsubishi Cement Corp. Educational Foundation handed out $54,000 in scholarships to 25 members of the LVHS Class of 2026. The grand total amounted to $112,225.

MCCEF 2026 SCHOLARSHIPS

Mitsubishi Cement Corp. Educational Foundation, which has given countless thousands of dollars throughout the years, handed out $54,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors at the Senior Awards Night Class of 2026 event, which was held on May 13, 2026 in the Sgt. Brian Walker Memorial Gymnasium. Mitsubishi Cement Plant manager Tony Turner and Iris Gutierrez represented the Foundation and presented a total of 25 scholarships to Lucerne Valley graduating seniors. 

Mikayla McCuistion, who is the valedictorian for the LVHS Class of 2026, was named the Budd Biggs Memorial scholar, receiving $3,000.

The 18 LVHS seniors receiving the $2,500 scholarships ($45,000 in total) were Alexis Hale, Alyssa Jackson, Amaya Kelly-Hutchings, Bracey Self, Briana Torres, Caitlyn Rodriguez, Christian Barajas Espinoza, Gavan Straus, Irvin Angeles, Jayleen Andrade, Kimberly Mondragon, Mariela Coronel, Miranda Navarrete, Victoria Enright, Yoselin Trujillo, Yuccel Rochin Limones, Zacarias, Gutierrez, and Makayla McGill. 

The six students the MCCEF $1,000 scholarships were Alvario Larios, Cristal Orozco, Vivyanna Alvarado, Ivan Valenzuela, Scarlett Sanchez, and Sergio Garcia.

Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi Cement Corp. Educational Foundation handed out $54,000 in scholarships to LVHS seniors this year.

COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIPS

Brooke Diegmiller Guillen and Alicia Crowell from First Foundation Bank presented a total of $58,225 in scholarships from the Lucerne Valley Community Scholarship Fund to a large number of high school seniors. The scholarships were made possible by the generosity of 102 local individuals, businesses and organizations.
