Lucerne Valley Elementary School teacher Brittney Maurer and custodian Jeana Guerrero were named the September Employees of the Month at the September 10th meeting of the Lucerne Valley USD’s Board of Trustees.
Superintendent Peter Livingston presented the awards to Brittney and Jeana.

“Brittney brings incredible energy and enthusiasm to her classroom each and every day,” Mr. Livingston said, reading from her nomination letter. “She has truly embraced our RCA strategies and brings them to life in her teaching. Brittney creates a classroom environment where students are active participants in their learning. Brittney’s dedication to our students also extends well beyond the school day.
“She provides after-school tutoring, giving students additional academic support. She also leads a sign language elective, providing students with a unique and exciting opportunity to learn a skill they may not otherwise have the chance to experience. Brittney is also an incredibly collaborative team member. She is always willing to work with others, share ideas, and contribute wherever she can. She is exceptionally organized and detail-oriented, and the thought and preparation she puts into everything she does is evident.

Jeana is always willing to lend a helping hand to her coworkers and consistently takes pride in completing her daily responsibilities. Her dependability, positive attitude, and willingness to help others make her a tremendous asset to our school. We truly appreciate everything she does to help keep our campus running smoothly.
